UNTOUCHABLE TOUCHED

One of splendor experience to remember is viewing Tourists taking pictures when I was busy (87) laying corals-designs of Flamingoes in mosaic-works on both path-ways in Kaya Grandi, 22 in total. Most exciting where the crowd of Bonaire itself, a pride to have their 'Kralendijk' (main city) being pictured and nicely decorated by an Artist of their Netherlands Antilles; until this day being kept safely. You walk on it, mess it up with drinks, but its all being kept intact. Will this continue to be? Bonaire has multiple in- and outside loving artists, experiencing years, exploring their arts on safe ground of Bonaire, an 'untouchable island' inside the Caribbean Sea. Or if you may say; Flamingo island. But then, when a plan is being studied to change surroundings, and these designs are going to be destroyed! I feel something inside...a kind of a ...not in the least being appreciated anymore?...my flamingo-stones?

Image of one Flamingo-design in coral stone exhibiting in Kaya Grandi (Main town) in Bonaire since 1987. If there is a plan to change this whole little picturesqueness town, will I be notified before break-down? and is there an alternative project to live on in cooperation to Culture?
