Part 5. “The Unauthorized Psychoanalysis of Donald J. Trump: Dr. Dick Gregory's Vivisection Of Trump and Brain Biopsy of america"

By James C. McIntosh, M.D.

Coltrane Style

Free Association is a process utilized by psychoanalysts that involves stimulating the free flow of a patient’s thoughts. The patient is asked to say the first thing that comes to their mind after providing trigger words.” It is also a wonderful exercise to engage in for any creative person. The very best poets such as George Edward Tait do it all the time. The best “Battle Rapper” poets such as B Dot and Loaded Lux will sometimes, right off the top, string together single words like “the staccato of machinegun fire” during a battle –trigger words-- free associated metaphors or as Tehut 9 says “Meta-fives,“ in “sheets of sound,” Coltrane style. Just thinking of the first word or thought that comes to the mind following other words and thoughts allows the artist and the analyst to go deep, most say into the unconscious mind. I engage in it frequently all by myself. When I heard the name of Trump’s daughter IVANKA, I thought of Trumps first wife IVANA. The next thought I had was “EXTRA K.” Someone inserted a K into the name of Donald’s first wife’s name Ivana and came up with the name Ivanka. I then thought, KU KLUX KLAN. Klan members have a thing for the letter K. They call their chapter a Klavern; they call their recruiter a Kleagle and they call a convention a Klonvokation. According to the book the Invisible Empire by William Loren Katz they even weave K’s into their greetings. One person says A.Y.A.K. which stands for “Are you a Klansman?“ and the other responds A.K.I.A. meaning, “A Klansman I am.“ KLAN made me think of DAVID DUKE.

Too Many Klues in This White House

See, apparently the three K’s in Ku Klux Klan weren’t enough for David Duke. In around 1974, he founded an organization called The Knights of the Ku Klux Klan or the KKKK. Even that extra K had not made sufficient impression on Donald Trump to recognize who DUKE was. So when asked to denounce Duke’s pre-election support, Trump said he didn’t not know anything about Duke. STRANGE--STRANGE FRUIT, Strange Fruit is a term coined by Abel Meeropol and popularized by the singer Billy Holiday, a name for the bodies of the victims of lynchings by groups such as the Klan-- bodies hanging from trees. It is strange indeed that the republican candidate for president wouldn’t’ know anything about Duke, the infamous former Republican Louisiana State Representative, and U.S. Presidential candidate who has among other things dressed up in a Nazi uniform and been convicted of fraud. Trump never heard of him. Trump carried this charade perhaps pronounced Karade to the extent that he still would not even publicly condemn Duke after the Charlottesville Massacre where a total of 20 people were injured and killed when a terrorist supporting an Alt Right, neo Nazi, Klan rally drove a Dodge Charger into a crowd of people opposed to that rally. Was this what Trump had signaled when he had earlier encouraged law officers to let suspects bump their heads on cars?

It’s Not Slavery Its Treason Stupi

The Klan was rallying against the removal of Confederate Statues. Amazingly Donald missed the whole point of what the removal of Confederate statues should mean to the president of the United States. The point is not that the Confederacy favored slavery, as he inferred by asking whose statue would be next, “George Washington?” Donald was half right; George was a slave owner and in fact the entire United States of America at some point supported slavery. Slavery is why I oppose those statues, but the POTUS is supposed to oppose them because confederates committed TREASON against the United States of America. CHARADE and TREASON made me think of another Charade in which Trump and his father Fred, son of Friedrich, had engaged. They used to deny their German ancestry and say they were Swedish. For decades they carried on this Charade.

From Trump Castle To Frankenstein Castle

They didn’t want to be publicly associated with Nazi’s or Germany so they just pretended they were from Sweden, somewhere else. PRETENDING- Trumppretends his father was not a Klansman and that they did not bar Blacks from their housing. He knew enough about Nazi’s to deny his German ancestry. He knew enough about the Klan to deny his father was ever a member of it. But he didn’t know enough to denounce David Duke who was both a Klansman and a uniformed Nazi. By the way,Duke lived in Russia for five years. While there Duke says his Book “Jewish Supremacism” was a best seller. Hey look at that DUKE, KLAN, RUSSIA, STALIN, NON AGGRESSION PACT, PUTIN , GERMANY, NAZI, HITLER, TRUMP…Wow Free Association exposes Trump’s brain like a scalpel. According to Freud, HUMOR has that same capacity. HUMOR, COMEDIAN /PSYCHOANALYST – DR. DICK GREGORY, exposed Trump’s lack of a soul. He likened Trump to two monsters, a werewolf and a corpse with a brain stimulated to life by Dr. Frankenstein, a mad scientist, from Germany. In my earlier book, “The UnauthorizedPsychoanalysis of Rudolph Giuliani,” I explained that Adolph and Rudolph are the Germanic words that mean Noble Wolf and Famous Wolf, respectively. According to Dr. Dick Gregory, Donald Trump “is dumber than Frankenstein and Wolf Man.” But if Gregory’s remark is a vivisection of Trump it is a biopsy for America. He follows up by saying that Trump’s Election “doesn’t say anything about (Trump); it says something about (America).” Gregory also takes his scalpel to America for not yet GETTING RID OF TRUMP, saying, "If I went to apply for a job collecting garbage, they would ask me to bring in my last year’s TAX RETURN. You have a president-- he don’t have to bring his in and y’all tolerate it.”

Dr. Snoop Dog, The 1st and 2nd Ammendment

Preferring a gun to Gregory’s Scalpel for his brain operations, Dr. Snoop Dog, in his music video “BADBADNOTGOOD,” shoots a Clown resembling Donald Trump.” Snoop gives the clown the name “Ronald Klump which is quite Klan Kongruent. But before you chalk that K off as an accident examine Dr. Snoop’s remarks prior to the election when he said of Trump’s intended run for the White House, “It wouldn’t be the first time (Trump) pushed a Black family out of their home.” (Why will we criticize the young man when he walks women on a leash and then stay silent when he begins to direct his rage in a healthier direction.) Jimmy Kimmel noted after Charlottesville, “We went into the weekend worrying about Kim Jong-un starting a war; we came out of it wondering if our president is cutting eye holes out of his bed sheets.” A lot of us are not wondering anymore, we are pretty clear that, at least metaphorically, he is. Hey here we go again, SHEETS--- SHEETS OF SOUND --KOLTRANE STYLE.

Part 6, “The Unauthorized Psychoanalysis of Donald J. Trump: The End of all Civilization”

By James C. McIntosh, M.D.

THE SOUL OF DONALD TRUMP

Psychologist Naim Akbar has traced the root word of psychology back to the Ancient Egyptian Word Sacca for wise which later evolved into the name Psyche the name for the Greek goddess of the soul. So psychology in its original sense means the study of the soul.   Similarly, psychiatry relates to the healing of the soul.  Many have asked why would a psychiatrist analyze Donald Trump?  For what purpose? Can Trump’s soul be healed?  The fact that he was elected president of the United States of America means that the answer to that question is not as obvious to everyone as it is to me.

AN OPEN SORE INSTEAD OF A SOUL

On the other hand, it is eerie how many lay people have answered this question about Trump’s possession of a soul in the exact same way as I would, “No, Trump has no soul.” Writer Mark Singer described Donald Trump as a man who “had aspired to and achieved the ultimate luxury, an existence unmolested by the rumbling of a soul” Former Presidential Press Secretary   Bill Moyers has said that Trump “does not seem to me to have  what we would normally think of as a soul; he has  an open sore”    Khizr Khan a lawyer and the  father of a slain decorated Muslim American Soldier, Captain Humayun Khan killed in Iraq said ofTrump that he    “has no soul” and is “void of empathy.”

LIPSTICK ON A PIG

Tony Schwartz the man who says he actually wrote the book,   The Art of the Deal,   that Donald Trump falsely Boasts as his own,   has lamented in an interview last year with the New Yorker Magazine, “I put lipstick on a pig…   I    feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is.”  Schwartz also came to the conclusion that Trump has   “no soul.” He also said that if he were writing the Art of the Deal today he would call it, “The Sociopath. The older synonym for sociopath, psychopath is one of the words the OSS came to as a diagnosis for Adolph Hitler.

THE SINGLE MOST EVIL MAN EVER

Writer Wayne Barrett speaking about perhaps someone else said words that lead to the same conclusion about Trump’s lack of soul.    Barrett began by talking about Trump's mentor Roy Cohn. Cohn was Trump’s attorney in the Federal housing discrimination suit filed against Trump in the mid-1970’s. Cohn was also the notorious U.S. Department of Justice prosecutor at the espionage trial of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and the chief counsel for Joseph McCarthy during the Red Scare Army McCarthy Hearings, and also represented several mobsters such as Tony Salerno, Carmine Galante, and John Gotti.  Barrett described Cohn as “the single most evil person I have ever covered.” He then added, “If that’s a magnet for you as a young man it says you are soulless from the start.”  It’s unclear about whom Barrett was speaking but Donald is certainly a person who sought out Cohn as a young man and the description soulless fits  Donald Trump to aDonald T. Cohn, by the way, described Trump as “the closest thing to a Genius” he had ever seen.

SICK SOUL OR NO SOUL

Sociopath, Psychopath and the current term in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association Antisocial Personality Disorder are virtually synonyms.  The requirements for this disorder include having a pervasive pattern of disregard for violation of the rights of others as indicated by 3 symptoms out of a list.  Rather than go through the entire list these three are provided because they jump out of the page in describingDonald.  1. Deceitfulness as indicated by repeated lying… 2.  Lack of remorse as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated or stolen from another, 3. Reckless disregard for the safety of others.

SERIAL HYPOCRISY

If any examples are needed to confirm Donald Trump’s obviously satisfying these criteria these few should do the trick.  Deceitfulness? These are Trump’s boastful words regarding one of his deals, “I rented him a piece of land. He paid me more for one night than the land was worth for two years, and then I didn't let him use the land… I don't want to use the word 'screwed', but I screwed him.”  Lack of Remorse and rationalizing after having hurt, another? At least 24 women have now come forth to say Donaldwas sexually inappropriate with them, some say he forcibly kissed them or touched their private parts, one says he tore out patches of her hair and forced his penis into her, one says he took her virginity when she was 13 and he was 50, several of them say he kissed them without their permission.

Yet in the 2016 presidential race when Donald was confronted with his own secretly taped confession, “I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy, “he described it as just “locker room talk” and said he had never actually done such things. Trump expects people to believe him despite his confession and 24 accusers.  Yet Trump hypocritically refuses to accept the innocence of 5 young men falsely accused and imprisoned in connection with the sexual assault of a white woman jogger in Central Park decades ago despite the fact that the real rapist a serial sexual assaulter, as Donald is accused of being, was caught and the boys, now men have been awarded 40 million dollars for their false imprisonment.

RECKLESS

How about reckless disregard for the safety of others? Trumps overturning the regulations to block dumping of coal debris in America’s, streams, his withdrawal from the Paris Climate talks, his denial of Climate change in the face of back to back storms wrecking areas of the south dumping record amounts of rain, over 50 inches is about as reckless as can be imagined.   Threatening Korea with fire and fury in this nuclear age certainly, matches this same last criterion of antisocial personality disorder--- this reckless disregard for the safety of others.  Tony Schwartz’s pessimistic words before the election,  now, after the election threaten to be disturbingly prophetic.  Said Schwartz, “I genuinely believe that ifTrump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization.”

Next Week Part 7, The Unauthorized Psychoanalysis of Donald J.Trump

Part 7, “The Unauthorized Psychoanalysis of Donald J. Trump: Trump’s Resignation”

By James C. McIntosh, M.D.

Trump’s Resignation

Donald Trump has finally admitted that he will resign from the U.S. presidency sometime this fall. No, not the real Donald Trump, but Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter who wrote “The Art of the Deal says that what’s going to happen.” It’s easy to see how Schwartz would think that he could know. In the course of   writing “The Art of the Deal,” which Trump claims to have written himself, Schwartz spent 18 months shadowing Trump, even spending weekends with him and with Trump’s permission, listening to his phone calls. Some of the accurate observations Schwartz has made about Trump in the past, sound like those of a psychologist. According to Jane Mayer in her article in New Yorker Magazine, Schwartz considered Trump’s personality, “pathological and impulsive.”  Mayer says that a journal Schwartz kept during that period describes Trump’s constant need for attention in this way, “All he is, is ‘stomp, stomp, stomp’—recognition from outside, bigger, more, a whole series of things that go nowhere in particular,” Schwartz also noted that Trump lied strategically… (and had a)… complete lack of conscience about it.”   Schwartz also perfectly describes Trump use of the defense mechanism, splitting which is “the division or polarization of beliefs, actions, objects, or persons into good and bad by focusing selectively on their positive or negative attributes.” More simply put, it is seeing things as either all good or all bad.  It is a defense mechanism often used by persons suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. Schwartz says it this way, “Trump only takes two positions. Either you’re a scummy loser, liar, whatever, or you’re the greatest.“ That’s Trump alright, dramatic, impulsive, attention seeking, lying, no conscience and polarizing, yep--- nailed it.  Schwartz is right about the personality traits, but, in my opinion, not about the resignation.

From My Cold Red Hands

Schwartz is right that circumstances and consequences of past actions are closing in on Donald. However,    this is not the first time and quitting is not an option. Trumpcannot give up the image, the lifestyle, the power, the glamour of the office, the adoration of his supporters who still believe the hype. Most of all the “guilty as sin” Trump cannot give up the power of absolution, the power of the presidential pardon. He is going to need  that power for his family members, close associates and may even cause a constitutional crisis by using it for himself.  Do you think this guy would care about causing a constitutional crisis?   The fact that he is making gestures of bipartisanship this very week is the signal that he is planning to fight to the end, and to make deals even through impeachment.  If an impeachment hearing comes, he wants to win, distrustful Donald, smells the Republican leadership planning to offer him up, just as they tried to do during the elections but he plans to fight ---balls out.  And lest someone think I am making allusions to the fight Bill Clinton made when he was caught with his zipper down, let me give this account for the true origin of the expression balls out. "Old steam engines had a governor rod with ball shaped spinning weights on the ends. When the engine was running at maximum speed centrifugal force moved the balls all the way out." Trump has to fight “balls out” because he cannot go to prison at 71 having offended the two largest ethnic groups he is likely to meet behind bars. No Trump will, like Hitler, fight down to the last Boy Scout even if he has to take the government down with him.

Bad News Good News

That’s the good news. The bad news is that once he survives the impeachment he will be more dangerous, more boastful, outrageous and actually more powerful than ever. Like a superinfection fostered  by inadequate  antibiotics, the super Trump that will emerge after the impeachment hearing will use his survival as evidence  to himself and his minions that he is the greatest leader the planet has ever known since the Fuhrer. He will also emerge with the clear knowledge that the checks and balances of the American Constitution and the division of powers are not equipped to handle a billionaire sociopath such as himself. Lastly he will test the maxim, pun intended, Troops Trump Paper.  If all else fails, the one constitutional power the president has that is indisputable is that he is the commander in chief of the armed forces.   His ascension to the presidency has been over the bones of those who have analyzed his personality and only seen the weaknesses.  You don’t have to be a training analyst at École Européenne de Psychanalyse to know there is something wrong with Trump. A quick hair inspection and its clear. Everybody knows he’s a blowhard, everybody knows there is something wrong with a 71 Year old man, looking like Elvis on Estrogen defending his hand size during a presidential debate and offering that you can confirm with  his wife whether or not  he is lacking in “that department.”

Hidden Assets

Everyone knows that there is something wrong with a Billionaire, would be macho man, who takes pride in images of his wife projected as a vacuous hooker or perhaps a so called James Bond Girl --nude and handcuffed to a briefcase on his private Jet holding a chrome pistol.  The O.S.S. knew that the same things were wrong with Hitler but they did not do one sided algebra or one sided ledger analysis and predict that he would quit the war in a few days.  Their commissioned psychoanalysts Dr. Henry Alexander Murray, Dr.  Walter C. Langer, Dr. Ernst Kris, and Dr. Bertram D. Lewin also looked at how Hitler’s personality flaws would make him a tenacious adversary. Those counting Trump out by fall’s end may get a surprise.  Trump’s need for attention and adoration won’t allow him to step down gracefully from power. He was still projecting himself as a  powerful business guru in the early 1990’s even as 4 of  his businesses went belly up, Trump Taj Mahal Associates,  in  1991, Trump Castle Hotel & Casino,  in  1992, Trump Plaza Associates,  in 1992 Plaza Operating Partners in 1992.  In the midst of that financial maelstrom Trump was still boastfully offering, way back then, to negotiate peace with the Russians.  It seemed an odd comment at the time, “The Russians?”

When his financial situation was at its worst, he survived and ultimately parlayed his self-advanced reputation as a great businessman into the presidency of the United States of America.  In that case it was not only character assets that saved him. According to the New York Times, over the last 20 years,   Deutsche Bank has blessed Trump with $4 billion dollars in loan commitments and potential bond offerings during and after the periods when the man had a total of 6 bankruptcies, (There were 2 more in 2004 and 2009 respectively).  That does not include the $285 million dollars lent to Jared Kushner with a K just before election day.

Nothing to Do with Soviet Hookers

That same bank, Deutsche Bank in circumstances, probably unrelated to Trump is currently paying $600 million dollars in fines for laundering Russian money. According to the New York Times,  probably unrelated, Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Russian lawyer met with Donald Trump Jr. during the campaign, he says, to discuss Hillary Clinton.  Veselnitskaya has clearly stated that Clinton was not the topic of discussion as Donald Jr. maintains, but the lessening of sanctions against Russians.  Veselnitskaya, also probably unrelated to Trump, represented a firm that with a partner got $90 million in financing from Deutsche Bank and  laundered the proceeds of an alleged Russian tax fraud by purchasing luxury real estate in NY.  The case had been initiated by then US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara, but was settled 2 months after Trump suddenly fired  Bharara.   Trump’s deceased lawyer and mentor Roy Cohn would have ripped up any witness at the McCarthy Army Red Scare Hearings with half the connections to the Soviet Union that Trump has without even counting Ms. Veselnitskaya and Deutche Bank. Fortunately Trump has had nothing to do with “hookers” in the Soviet Union. We know this because, he told FBI Director  James Comey this without even being asked. Two of his wives, however, were “models” born in countries that were, for most of their lives there, behind the so called iron curtain, Czechoslovakia and Slovenia, (Yugoslavia). Trump’s father in law was a member of the League of Communists that ran Slovenia. Clearly, Capitalist numero uno, Donald Trump is not a Communist. Tony Schwartz says Trump has no ideology.  Perhaps not,  but he is one witness I would like to see the evil and abrasive Mr. Roy Cohn cross examine. The point of this last section is that bank ledgers, governments and personalities often have assets as well as deficits.  In the case of Deutsche Bank, The Soviet Union and Donald Trump, these assets are often, hidden assets.

Dr. McIntosh will speak about this series of articles, “The UnauthorizedPsychoanalysis of Donald J. Trump,” on Saturday Sept 23 at 2:00 PM at CEMOTAP Center located at 135-05 Rockaway Boulevard Queens 11420 and  again with Larry Hamm  in a program called “The Unauthorized Psychoanalysis of Donald J Trumpand  Fighting Fascism Round 2” Thursday Sept 28 at 7:00 PM in Newark at 224 W Kinney Street Newark, NJ 07103
