Non-profit arts and education organization gears up for its second annual summer street 3828604200?profile=originalconcert tour, expanding beyond Cape Cod and into other cities and town around New England and beyond. Great opportunities for sponsors.

Provincetown, Harwich, Hyannis, Falmouth, Marion, Plymouth, Brockton, Boston, Worcester, Providence, New York City, Hartford... As dates and locations are being confirmed, planning for the Phunk Hits 2018 summer street concert tour is underway. As last year the tour will feature the Grammy nominated band, The GroovaLottos as well as student musicians from Song Keepers, Ltd's mentoring program.

The community-based music tour that brings soul-funk-blues to the people directly, has received support from the Boston Arts Council, Brockton, Provincetown, Wellfleet, and Plymouth Cultural Councils, as well as support from the Osborne Trust and private donors. Song Keepers announced that there are additional opportunities for sponsorship, especially for companies looking to do product promotion for healthy lifestyles. "We went from being a Cape Cod project to an inter-state tour in a year," explained Song Keepers president, Billie J Atkins, II. In particular the sponsorships would support the participation of student musicians, ages 12 - 18 in the tour, including travel costs and equipment. Last year's tour drew a total audience of over 400,000 people at shows on Cape Cod and in Plymouth County alone.

Members of Song Keepers' Artist Mentoring Program formed the spoken-word collective Soul Poet's Syndicate and produced an anti-opioid anthem and music video called "Flippin'"; addressing the opioid crisis that is ravaging communities across the country, particularly Native and Black Americans.
