(Washington, DC)— Please join Talking Right with Raynard Jackson on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 7-9:00 p.m.
Saturday’s show will feature two exciting guests. The first guest will be Pittsburgh-based vocalist Antoinette Manganas, whose music encompasses contemporary adult pop, jazz and R&B. After years of being discouraged from following her dream of a music career, Manganas took a deep breath and jumped in four years ago, making a commitment to making her dream come true. She regularly performs with the likes of Howard Hewitt and Norman Conners. Please visit her website at: www.antoinettesings.com.
Jackson’s second guest will be comedian Maronzio Vance. Vance, who lives in Los Angeles, first tried stand-up comedy in North Carolina at the age 15 on the night of his high school prom. A local comedy club was holding an after-prom event for students. With the encouragement of his friends, he got on stage and talked about how expensive prom was and issues with relationships. He was hooked.
"It was in me to be a comedian," he said. He has been featured on the Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Wanda Sykes: Wanda Does It, Comicview, Showtime at the Apollo, and Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, to name a few.
According to Jackson, “this will be a fun packed show that will showcase two outstanding talents that the entertainment world will hear lots from in the future.”
