The results of last week's election mean big changes are coming in 2015. With new elected officials on every level come new opportunities—and challenges—in the fight for civil and human rights.

To ensure our issues are top of mind, we must come together to set our goals and priorities for the movement.

What are your top priorities, Kwasi? Tell us where we should focus our resources in 2015.

In January, the new Congress and new state legislatures will begin their work, crafting policies that affect each and every one of us. As an organization, we are committed to working with all to build a more just and equal America.

But I won't make light of the situation: the outcome of last week's election means we face an uphill battle on many of our most important national issues. And on the local level, NAACP units will have to work even harder to protect the progress we've made, and to continue moving us forward.

We simply can't rely on these decision-makers to make the right choices on the issues we care about. We must continue to make our voices heard, and keep the pressure on.

Our strength lies in our numbers, and in our ability to stand united for change. We are all in this together, and as such, need to make sure your needs and interests are represented.

Your opinion matters. Share with us your top priorities for 2015:

What a JOKE!!!  Blacks have a lame duck NAACP and a lame duck Black president.  Neither one has enabled JUSTICE or human rights for descendants of Slaves.  And both are for self-serving glory and are bought by those who keep Blacks under the control of our Captors.  And the same can be said of the Black Caucus and the Blacks in Congress.  What a shame they don't have the courage to speak out and stand up for their own people.  Oh, I get it.  They don't want to make waves.  Yeah!

Well, what about our children and progeny?  Is President Obama foolish enough to believe that his soon to be eight years will make the US a better place for his girls?  Of course not.  He will remember for the rest of his life how congressmen and others in high places made derrogatory comments about him, the First Lady, and their beautiful daughters.  And then he will also remember that he did nothing about being president for everyone.

His US Justice Department is just as useless.  I thought I would finally be impressed with Holder's work on the death of Michael Brown, only to learn that he has dropped the case like a hot potato.  He looked and sounded good, though.  Just like the man who appointed him.  Both could talk a 'possum out of a tree.

Vote for GOD, as HE is our ONLY HELP during these troubled and dire times, and you ain't seen nothin' yet!  And shame on the NAACP for its continued runs of deception and being bought and funded by those who control its hand in speaking out for Reparations, human rights, and FREEDOM for descendants of Slaves.
