Millennium 3 Management, Inc. Continues Ongoing 25th Anniversary Activities

As part of its ongoing, 25th-year anniversary celebration, Millennium 3 Management, Inc. (M3M), a communications and branding firm specializing in branding, advertising/public relations services, and strategic communications, here, recently partnered with Mighty Writers, a nonprofit literacy organization, to host a branding workshop for prospective high school junior and senior participants in the firm’s writing/public speaking contest, for students.

During the workshop, held at Mighty Writers's offices, at 15th and Christian Streets, here, M3M's staff members shared career experiences with the students; information related to the impact and influence of the public relations and communications professions; and how effective writing skills are essential for aspiring branding professionals. In his opening remarks to the students, M3M's president, A. Bruce Crawley, said “Writing is a fundamental building block of PR and public relations is a strategic function. If you can’t think, you can’t write. If you can’t write well, you can’t communicate effectively.” Crawley and the M3M staff stressed the power of the written word, the importance of understanding messaging, and the impact of traditional and social media.

Tim Whitaker, executive director, Mighty Writers, said “We are excited that M3M decided to celebrate a part of its three-month-long, 25th anniversary with us, by holding this workshop and offering the scholarship/internship contest for our students. Usually, public relations, isn’t a profession that young people actively seek as a career choice, simply because they are unaware of its impact, or its opportunities. We are grateful that Mr. Crawley and his staff shared their knowledge and expertise, and encouraged PR as a future career option for some of Philadelphia’s best and brightest students.”

M3M, along with Mighty Writers and David Allan, Ph.D., former general manager of WUSL Power99, and current associate professor of marketing at St. Joseph’s University, will judge entries, and select two winners, who will be awarded higher-education scholarships, totaling $3,500, and a four- and a six-week internship at the firm.

In addition to the contest, M3M will continue its 25th anniversary celebration, through December 2014, by a re-design, and new video postings, on its web site; by posting information, on Twitter, Facebook, and other platforms, about small business success and survivability, and about businesses owned by people of color, and the role they play in the communications and branding professions. The firm will also host an open house event, at its Center City Philadelphia offices, in November of this year, at One Commerce Square, here.
