Your criticism of President Zuma on his position taken at the United Nations in relation to Resolution 1973 on Libya is thoroughly endorsed by our organisation in Barbados and I am sure on the other organisations in the Caribbean in relation to Zuma's position supporting the 1973 Resolution.

The African National Congress with leaders like Albert Lithuli, Nelson Mandela, Winnie Mandela, Govan Embeki, Walter Sisulu, Mama Albertina Sisulu, Steve Biko etc. who fought for the liberation of the African continent and supported financially and morally by Mummmar Gadaffi and Fidel Castro...etc must be shot by the disgraceful attutude of President Jacob Zuma.

Jacob Zuma must recognise his indecent haste in backing the United Nations Resolution 1973 which was put together with the collaboration of the imperalistic nations of the United States, France and Britain.

How can an African leader, knowing the history of the enslavement of African peoples, the criminality of the European countries agree at the United Nations to back the invasion and murderous attititudes of Europe once more against Muammar Gadaffi.

The truth about Muammar's support for thje struggle for independence of the African countries with especial reference to South Africa with a strong military support of Cuba should have create in Jacob Zuma's mind the need to ensure that the imperialist countries will no longer terrorise and control our African States.

When President Zuma informed his United Nations representative to vote for no fly zone in Libya "Resolution 1973", he should have and would have known along with China that the Resolution was a corrupt one.

Did President Zuma understand what a no fly zone meant? Did he look at the United Nations Resolution passed against Iraq for a no fly zone? Did he understand a no fly zone to mean that no planes would be flown over Libya or in Libya to attack Libyan people? Did Zuma discuss that principle with President Barrack Obama, Presidenst Sarkozy, Prime Minister Cameron and come to a conclusion with them that they would ensure that no Libyan planes were flown over Libya, attacking Libyan civillians?

My brother Julius Mulema, ANC Youth Leader must be praised for bringing this position before all of the African nations and progressive forces of the world.

Althought the Chinese government is now attempting to bring te forces of Libya together to try to solve the problem, it must be clearly understood that only the African Union under proper African leadership, without the influence of Europe and North America must sit together and deal with the present positions.

It is well known that Libya has the highest standard of living in Africa, in most of Asia, in parts of Europe, in parts of South America, and therfore there was no need for an attempt to overthrow the Government of Libya.

In the 1990's the American Govrnment produced a paper authored by John Negroponte, Dick Chaney, Donald Rumsfeld and Karl Rove called the American Century, in which to continue American domination and the military industrial complex delcared that the United States of America would overthrow first the Government of Iraq, in which they were in bed with against Iran, then Syria, then Lebanon, then Libya, then Somalia, then Sudan, then Iran.

It must be clearly understood that in 2009, after the discussions with Ghadaffi by Prime Minister of England Tony Blair, the Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi, the President of France Nicolas Sarkozy, the Secretary of State of the United States, Hilary Clinton, there was a thorough understanding that Libya and Colonel Ghadaffi was now part of the non-terrorist world and as a result discussions took place between the United States Government and the Libyan Government with the Secretary of State of the United States, heading those discussions on behalf of the United States.

For the first time in the history of the United States, a Bill was passed unanimously by both houses of Congress for the United States to supply Libya with technology and arms and that Bill was passed in late 2009 or early 2010. Nevertheless in early 2011, the United States , France and Britain determined that Libya, under Colonel Muammar Gadaffi, was a bad country and the leadership of Libya should be destroyed.

We, therefore support Julius Mulema in his attack of President Jacob Zuma who has failed to recognise history.

We demand that the African Union introduce a Resolution at the United Nations to;-

a) stop all attacks by NATO on Libya
b) release the embargo in Libyan shipping and air movement
c) release the billions of dollars seized by United Staes and Europe and return it to Libya
d)respect the rights of the African people to determine their fate

PS: Otto, please forward to Comrade Fidel for his reflections.
