BLACKHAWKS TO SHARE STANLEY CUP 
WITH INNER-CITY SCHOOL AND BUSINESS LEADERS

CHICAGO – The 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks will bring Lord Stanley’s Cup to the inner-city of Chicago. The Stanley Cup is the revered 120-year-old trophy awarded to the NHL champion team. The Blackhawks will take the Cup to two different locations, giving fans an opportunity to take pictures and touch the silver chalice, in addition to a meet-and-greet with Blackhawks representatives.

 

The Stanley Cup has traveled to mountaintops in Europe, small towns throughout Canada and made countless stops all across the United States, among other places. Now the Cup will make an appearance at the University of Chicago Charter School Woodlawn Campus and meet with African-American and Latino business and civic leaders at Cristina Foods.

The Cup’s public itinerary on Monday, Oct. 14, includes:

8-9 a.m. – University of Chicago Charter School Woodlawn Campus, 6420 S. University, Chicago, IL. 60637 (includes meet & greet with students, brief history of Cup/Trivia game, photo-op)

9-10 a.m. – Cristina Foods, 4555 S Racine Ave, Chicago, IL 60609  (includes meet & greet with Business Leadership Council, Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, photo-op)
