Dear Alfred and friends
Thanks for the variuos comments. I am as busy with Sudan/Borderlands issues as I was in Juba. Right now I
am preparing a paper for the Sudan Studies Conference at the University of South Africa in Pretoria in November. The
presentation, if it is accepted, will be partly based on the argument of Chancellor Williams on the falsification of African history by western scholarship.
Alfred - your coomments on Taj reflect my thinking, and are a comfort.
I am convinced that the knowledge of your part of Africa, once it becomes universally known, will changs the course
of African history, particularly how the unity of Africans is constructed.
