Just wondering if there is a video (DVD) of a lecture by Dr. Authur Lewis on how the Germans traveled through out Europe and started countries such as England, France, Italy, etc. Seems to me I saw such a video on You Tube but I am not entirely sure this is where i saw it. If any one knows of such a lecture by Dr. Lewis, please let me know. Asanta Sana. Hotep.

MEMO: THE RAMEY RULE
BY MIKE RAMEY
I wanted to give a solid ‘shout out’ to those warriors who have volunteered to contend with young men on a regular basis about their sagging pants. Of course, I am still amazed of the longevity of this rather ‘brief’ matter--but I digress!
I’ve seen some rather interesting battles and discussions between adults and teens about the need for keep pants pulled up to regulation level. I’ve heard of adults shouting at teens, and teens shouting…

Toward the Language of Love
In the 60s and 70s, we wanted to transcend the English language because we recognized it as the slave master's tongue, the tongue of the true "motherfucker" who had kidnapped, raped and robbed our ancestors, the men, women and children. In our frantic and desperate effort to rid ourselves of English, we tried Swahili and Arabic, and this functioned for a short time, even though these languages originated from another slave master, the Arab, yet much of our…

Jobs for Terrorists Abroad, None for the Hood
American, Afghan and NATO leaders are also preparing to start an ambitious program to convince rank-and-file Taliban fighters to give up in exchange for schooling and jobs. That plan, expected to cost hundreds of millions of dollars, will be the focus of an international conference later this week in London. The plan aims at the bottom of the Taliban hierarchy — the foot soldiers who are widely perceived as mostly poor,… Continue

Obama Drama, A One Act Play
Unless our first black president makes a radical policy shift in his State of the Union speech, we expect he shall retire or be retired after his first four year term. We understand Hillary Clinton has informed Tavis Smiley she will not serve a second term as Secretary of State, probably so she can resume her run for president since she was so rudely interrupted by Obama.
What is clear is that our president doesn't seem to get it,…

Obama Drama: The End
A sister on the street at my outdoor classroom came by tonight and said, "You think this is the end, cause ain't nobody got no job. I'm working part time." Well, sister, I replied, you know when you at the end of a movie, what do you see on the screen--The…

Beyond Gang Violence, toward Political Power
Gang violence is a senseless endeavor leading nowhere except more community trauma and suffering. It is the act of desperate men and women who cannot envision a way out of social oppression, but such oppression cannot end until the oppressed alter their mental state of stinking thinking.
We cried about how dumb President George Bush was, but dummy George wrote a three page letter and obtained nearly a trillion…

Runoko Rashidi:
We still have in our midst a great pillar standing. He, (Dr. Ben) has written numerous books that have enlightened the minds of many, including white folks. He pioneered the first group tours to Egypt long before many of us were born and when it was unpopular in the black community to want anything to do with “going back to Africa”.
99% of Dr. Ben’s research and analysis, and preaching and teaching to anyone who would listen, was grossly underpaid…

Last night President Obama gave his first State of the Union address to the nation. As I was listening to the president I thought if he could do it, why can’t I? So, below, I will give my first State of the Union address.
The state of the union is thriving! Not only do we have the first Black president of the country; this is the first time in our nation’s history that the State of the Union was given by a Black. This is an example of…

It does not matter where or when I enter the flow, I am inseparable from the flow.
It does not matter whether I enter as a drop, a flop or as a might torrent; I am inseparable from the flow.
A drop, a flop, a mighty torrent, a minute or days gone by; I am the flow, the stream the river, and I am indistinguishable and inseparable.
I am and I am not in this drop or that bucketful.
What would the river be without me a drop?
One less drop, you’ll never know…
Once I was…
