Nobody Thinking 'bout You, Miss Ann

INT. LAIR - FULL SHOT - NIGHT: Kong, in side angle, begins to pick her clothes off, as a monkey might pick a rag doll to pieces. -from the screenplay, "Kong", 1933, by James Ashmore Creelman and Ruth Rose Yep. It happened to me in St. Clair Shores. I know a lot of stories about Black men round these parts begin with those very same words, but for some reason I didn't think that day that one of those stories would be one of mine.I didn't think I would be frightening the shite out of some white…See More

The Irish Holocaust, Yours, and Mine

As an African American university professor of Africana Studies and history (Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, USA) I find it unsettling to recognize how universal the experience of African Americans really is. First, so many other ethnicities, nations, and peoples have experience slavery, oppression, and genocide, not just African Americans. And second, most disturbing, everyone who suffers abuse at the hands of the monarchist, imperialist, corporate, and religio-fascist power…See More

Hurricane Katrina is Yo Mama!

IF THAT'S THE ONLY WAY to get Americans to rouse from their stupification, look at her again and own her, then I will say it--I will shout it far and wide from the flooded American rooftops and from the polluted shores of the sea of oil floating on the surface of the Gulf of Mexico that CNN is not showing us on TV. I shout it out:… Continue

Like Sarah Freakin' Palin, Bill Cosby Just Won't Shut Up

LIKE SARAH PALIN, BILL COSBY JUST keeps on talking. He has shown up yet again with more comments lately on cable news, and on the lucrative lecture circuit, continuing to malign and slander African Americans (witness his latest middlebrow, psychobabble Walmark book, "Come on, People: On The Path From Victims to Victors" another mediocre tract contemptuous of real socio-political causality and of real…

Strange juxtapositions and odd outcomes are common, and they are not really all that odd, for history is "Koo - koo crazy" as Frank Sinatra used to say.

So if Condoleezza Rice's face on a Nazi Wehrmacht poster seems at first to be odd, well, Brothers and Sisters, it ain't odd… Continue

Mr. Walter, it was not my intention to disregard any of the forum rules, I made serveral attempts to respond directly to the post on the forum unsucessfully due to errros on the page. I have no comment on your insinuations or your interpretation of my use of capital letters, please don't project your biases on me or assume they have the meaning your attempting to give them. if you want to know what they mean, it would be more appropriate to ask me. What ever it means to you, that's on you, You do not know me, so if your thinking from one post on this board you can read my mind, sum me up as a flake, and or conspircay theorist, that is you right, again if you are a judge, go right ahead. However, conspiracy is a term in LAW and if so you are guilty of doing the same thing you have accused me of doing in error, and i do not have to read everything on this board to respond to a post. You are also in error about me taking his "insulting" words out of context, I cut and pasted the exceprt. In addtion, he does not only write on this forum.

I was highly offened by the peace and responded based on that. As far as your defense of President Obama, If this forum one where Obama criticism is sensored? I think that is right in line with his move toward expanding the police state. As he has signed executive orders expanding Patriots Acts 1 & 2 and initated use of Fema Camps, and gun restricion laws. if that is what you support, we are in disagreement completely. However I respect your right to do so, now please give me the same respect. if you do not desire any further contact, based on your message, please be ny quest.

Thanks for the concern. But, the principles of Freedom of Expression are too precious to be compromised. What we need more than anything else in this community is a free exchange of ideas. It is amazing, really, how much progress we can make simply by saying what we think deep down inside. Criticism helps me, not hurt me.

Absolutely, brother. This is one of the most valuable vehicles that is open to us for effecting positive change in the African Nation as the powers that be have seen to it that most other vehicles have been closed to us except to those who follow the interests and dictates from ourside the community. Eevn when I disagee with a brother or sister, it is the exchange of ideas and thoughts that the lifts this community from the long slumber that we have experienced in recent years, especially with the avent of Aunt Condoleezza Rice.
