Dear Mr Cameron,

Here's a funny old thing, Mr Cameron, 600,000 householders have been summonsed to court since Eric Pickles arbitrarily cut council tax benefit last year by £500million and 87,000 households, including many disabled people, war widows and carers, are being pursued by debt collectors for failing to pay the tax.

Decent, good and honest ordinary people are being terrorised by bailiffs because they do not have, on average, £200 spare for Pickles cuts. Penny for penny I am sure the bailiffs are paid more for the time they spend terrorising people than the amount of debt accrued by the vulnerable in the same time.

Britain can afford £37bn, or £2,000 for every UK household, to maintain the war in Afghanistan for reasons which I simply have no way to understand yet Pickles decided to add to the tax burden by cutting council tax relief for the most needy. Why are we in Afghanistan, Mr Cameron, and for whose benefit? I can't remember the last news item that highlighted the benefits for either Afghanistan or Britain.

When the banks plundered our lives for failing to do anything like a half decent job, where were the bailiffs then? When the banks debts were paid off by the people, were the peoples debts paid off, was there even an amnesty for debt, was there any debt relief for the people, or even interest relief? No! We are still meant to pay and pay and pay.

That's your big society. We pay.

A more bullshit system of paying for the crimes of others I have yet to see.

So far as your rationale for your ideological austerity is concerned, you could drive a tank through there mate and Challenger 2 tanks are believed to cost £4 million per vehicle. Tell that to the bailiffs.
