If you haven't done so already, please register for Lasting Impact: Building Sustainable Organizations. This information-filled workshop will provide an overview of what organizational capacity is; the characteristics of sustainable organizations; how to create sustainable change and how to build your organization's capacity to create sustainable change. The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 11:00 am-12:30 pm at the Chicago State University New Academic Library Auditorium, 4th Floor, 9501 South King Drive in Chicago, IL. I have attached a copy of a reminder notice below. Be sure to include this event in your calendar. If you know of others who could benefit from such a workshop, please, by all means, forward this email to them.
We will have a very good group of people from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. This will make for great discussion and networking opportunities. Bring your business cards, and come prepared to ask questions and to share your experiences.
I am looking forward to meeting some of you, and re-connecting with others.

Build Your Organization's Capacity to Make Sustainable Change!
Nonprofits should have a well-documented track record in developing programs that have a meaningful impact upon the community and the clients served; the ability to exercise good stewardship over financial and human resources; the ability to manage relationships among various community constituencies; and the ability to respond to change. Those organizations that make the investment in building organizational capacity are more likely to be in a position to sustain themselves over the long term.
To that end, I will be partnering with Chicago State University, the Monroe Foundation and the Independent Bulletin to host a free nonprofit capacity building workshop on Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 11:00 am -12:30 pm. You will learn: 1) Characteristics of sustainable organizations; 2) How to create sustainable change; 3) How to build your organization’s capacity to make a stronger impact to clients and communities. Register here. If you have any questions, contact me firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to see you there!
