Today we launch a new platform to give 1.6 million people in Florida the ability to vote.
Currently, 1.6 million Florida residents - including nearly 40% of black men in the state - are banned from voting. Florida is one of only four states that permanently takes away people's voting rights because of a felony conviction. Together, we can restore their ability to vote.
The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition has been leading a statewide campaign to put a measure on the 2018 ballot in Florida that would restore their voting rights. 275,000 more petition signatures from Florida registered voters are needed before February 1, 2018 to make this happen. Here’s how you can help:
Visit the new platform to learn more about this initiative and how you can help put this measure on the Florida ballot. Then, share it with others, and together let's restore the vote!
