T
he documentary "Who Killed Emmett Till?," a powerful educational piece, focuses on a 14-year-old African-American boy murdered in Mississippi when he reportedly flirted with a white woman.

The documentary directed by Ray Metoyer takes a look at the timeline of the murder with first hand interviews from witnesses who were there when Emmett was kidnapped from his family. We see the barn where he was tortured and killed and look back on the murder investigation, where his killers were allowed to walk away without even a slap on the wrist.
The murder of Emmett Till became one of the pivotal moments of the Civil Rights Movement because of the tireless efforts of his mother Mamie Till Mobley.

The presentations include discussion facilitated by Till family member and Emmett Till Legacy Foundation founder Deborah Watts.

How can we draw lessons from history and current events to address racism in our society, congregations, and social justice organizations?
