Havent heard any major media report that this day in history was the tragic death of Chicago's Emmett Till and how that death sparked the Civil Rights movement. God bless the life and legacy and for me my thanks for being a former aide to the Rev Jesse Jackson, Sr able to meet and travel with Mrs. Mamie Till-Mobley, the mother of Emmett Till and shall never forget travelling with her in Mississippi visiting mothers and families of young Blacks who were STILL being "mysteriously" hung in the South. God bless on this legacy day of history.
This date is also a major date in history as the birthdate of Michael Jackson and The Jackson Family is back in Gary for Jackson Family activities today. This is the date of the historic March On Washington. And I think this is also the death date of the founder of Chicago Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable. EVERYBODY should be up doing SOMETHING on behalf of our people on such a historic date in our history on so many levels.
