The Network Journal, a quarterly print and online business magazine for Black professionals and business owners, is searching for 25 Influential Black Women in Business to honor in 2016. The deadline for nominations is Friday, October 23rd.

Launched in 1999, 25 IBWIB highlights and honors the achievements of Black women executives and business owners who are at the forefront of American business leadership; winners symbolize the diversity and advancement that has occurred across industry lines. The Awards program is staged in the form of a luncheon in March each year, coinciding with Women’s History Month.

Honorees are profiled in the print magazine, as well as online at tnj.com. Videotaped interviews of honorees are placed on tnj.com for a global audience. Other print and broadcast news organizations also report on the Awards Luncheon.

Typical 25 IBWIB award recipients exude professionalism and have a track record of providing leadership and support to their community. She is an owner, partner, president, CEO, CFO, COO, CIO, Board Chair, senior- or management-level executive, or a woman entrusted with significant decision-making authority in a corporation, not-for-profit organization, or public office.

2015 honorees included: Katrina M. Adams, Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President, United States Tennis Association; Miko Branch, Chief Executive Officer, Miss Jessie’s LLC; Sandra Jackson-Dumont, Frederick P. and Sandra P. Rose Chairman of Education, The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Vivian Rogers Pickard, President, GM Foundation and Director, Corporate Relations, General Motors Company.

2015 corporate sponsors of the annual event included: Morgan Stanley, Aflac, Macy’s, L’Oreal USA, Prudential, and 107.5 WBLS-FM among others.
