The Center for Law and Social Justice, by means of a generous grant from State Senator Velmanette Montgomery, is providing free and confidential non-profit management assistance to faith-based institutions and community-based organizations within Senate District 18.
The services being provided include assistance in the following areas:
- · Organizational Management
- · Board Development
- · Organizational Development and Strategic Planning
- · Project and Program Management
- · Human Resource Management (employment practices, including hiring, proper supervision, staff development, EEO, and labor laws)
- · Financial/Fisca1 Management
- · Cost Accounting
- · Legal Issues (pertaining to the laws affecting faith-based groups, tax-exempt status (501c3), reporting requirements and federal, state, and city oversight).
These services will be available until May 30th, 2011.
