Greetings All.
I'm humbled and appreciative of being elected to the African Union Diaspora Task Team as the Youth Representative. My endorsement  by WADU (World African Diaspora Union) is only one of many demonstrations of confidence in my ability as New York Facilitator of SRDC (Sixth Region Diaspora Caucus) to connect Pan African Organizations throughout the 6th Region of the African Diaspora emphasizing Youth involvement.
Endorsement is at bottom of my acceptance of being elected to the African Union Diaspora Task Team as the Youth Representative.
C. Yao Khepra Wilson
___________________________________________________________________________________________WADUE-
I humbly accept membership to the African Union Diaspora Task Team. I am appreciative that I have been elected as the Youth Representative of the AUDTT.
I will be present at 3:00 p.m. today.
After one year of diligent pursuit of adequate Youth Representation via constructive critiques, attendance of Town Halls & subsequent AUDTT meetings, I'm glad it has not been in vain and I am very appreciative that I have been elected to ensure that the voice of the Youth will be heard.

The AUDTT has not made a mistake in choosing me. I have always had a desire to be embrace all the diversity that exists within the African Diaspora community to create a unity without uniformity.  I will represent the Pan African Community with vigorous Sincerity, Integrity, Accountability & Transparency which of course will be in alignment with how the AUDTT plans to continually conduct itself. Although I'm the New York Facilitator for SRDC, I will be inclusive of all Pan African organizations such as WADU, AAPRP, UNIA-ACL or any other organization interested in creating adequate Youth Representation within the 6th Region of the African Diaspora.

Thanks again for voting for me to be the voice for the Youth on the AUDTT. I will not disappoint.

Regards,

C. Yao Khepra Wilson

Brother Khepra Wilson:

I am writing to confirm that the African Union Diaspora Task Team elected you as its youth representative at its September 19, 2011 AUDTT Meeting, as indicated in the AUDTT’s Secretary’s correspondence to you dated September 20, 2011.  The delay in inviting you as a member to participate in ongoing AUDTT meetings and work was due to a procedural issue (as idicated by Dr. Chika's correspondance dated September 22, 2011) that has since been clarified by the African Union CIDO Director.

As you know, the Task Team has been well aware of your concerns regarding the lack of youth outreach during the entire past year of the Task Team's existence. In fact, your efforts to encourage us to resolve this serious deficiency and your work and respect among Black youth and many Pan-African Organizations was a major contributing factor in your election.

As one of our members so rightly observed, it would be a serious flaw to elect you and then not make a serious effort to assist you in pulling together a youth Town Hall meeting. This objective will go a long way in updating this sector regarding our work and the important contributions we see youth making to the Pan-African movement. As we look to your contributions in organizing the youth, you can expect concrete assistance from the Task Team.

Please make every effort to attend your first meeting with the Task Team this coming Friday, October 21, 2011 at 3 PM at the African Union Mission to the United Nations, 305 47th Street, 5th Floor.

Welcome on board and plan to work hard for Pan-Africanism.

Sincerely yours,

Wm. Omowale Clay
1st Vice-President, African Union Diaspora Task Team

Dear AUDITT Leaders:

The World African Diaspora Union (WADU) Secretariat is recommending Mr. Yao Khepra to be accepted as the youth leader of the African Union Diaspora Task Team (AUDITT). He is a veteran youth leader in the Pan African Movement and is currently serving as a leading member of the Sixth Region Diaspora Caucus (SRDC). Mr. Khepra comes with enormous experiences in management, leadership and counseling. He has also contributed to the promotion of African people through many grassroots efforts.

This recommendation is in accordance with the WADU Articles of Diaspora Union (ADU) constitutional principles calling for WADU to work: 1. “Towards the unification of Africa with one central Government under an African Union continental government body;” 2. For “the official acceptance of the Diaspora as an integrated part of a united Africa ;” and 10. “To assist and cooperate with all individuals, groups and associations which adopt these tenants and principles.”

This recommendation also comes with high regards and expectations on behalf of the WADU Chief Secretariat Baba John Watusi Branch and other respectable members of African Diaspora community to the WADU Executive Council. According to Baba Watusi "Not only I have had the opportunity of working with Bro Khepra as part of WADU successful work with SRDCNY and other Pan African organizations, but our familial relationship runs deep within the community of New York . I trust that he will carry out his work for Africa with balance and diligence, and specifically ensure that Diaspora youth become an integral part of the Pan-African Movement.” The Executive Council will vote on this initiative at the next Executive meeting.

In conclusion, WADU is extremely thankful for the work and the vision of AUDITT to pull the African Diaspora together as part of the African continental system. We are especially grateful for the gracious reception of WADU service by members of AUDITT and we expect this role to continue. Finally, we are urging AUDITT to immediately expand AUDITT beyond NYC and to bolster AUDITT with some of the most prominent leaders from our diverse organizations and experiences, to ensure AUDITT long term stability and significance.

WADU is now calling on all the Diaspora organizations to support AUDITT as the ONLY and foremost instrument to work with the African Union . For more information, please contact us our 6thregion office at 718-523-3312 or WADUPAM.Org.
