Black Digital/Social Media MATTERS in this 2018 Election Cycle!!!
All Governor Campaigns have totally ignored these important outlets and its large Black voters audiences
Very important to Black political pundits examining the "ASKS" on Black Agenda's and The Governor's Race and more! To ALL the candidates for Illinois Governor and other major State races and your "symbolic" campaigns for the Black vote. WHERE is the money on Black digital/social media to match the mainstream media buys??? Black digital/social media MATTERS just as much as the media buys that these major campaigns spend with "Established" Black owned media and "Black oriented" media outlets while IGNORING the many "established" Black grassroots digital/social media outlets that have been totally blown off and disregarded by these major campaigns as if they dont have UNIQUELY QUALIFIED AUDIENCES!
On so many issues and Black grassroots constituencies that reach so many disconnected voters who do not follow the Black owned and Black oriented media outlets where they have done BASIC media buys that in my judgement does not fit the alleged importance of The Black vote! Your Black advisors are WRONG if they told you that your current Black/Black oriented media buys were "SAFE" with the initial buys you have done and the current planning to BUDGET for in the final outreach for the March Primary!! To their credit many of these major campaigns have some DAMNED GOOD campaign positions on a lot of major issues to disconnetced grassroots voters HOWEVER those positions are ONLY posted on the sponsored pages of the campaigns and NOT publicly posted on the various social media pages specifically targetted to those constituencies who today DONT know these campaign positions even EXISTS!
God bless the initial Black/Black oriented media buys BUT it AIN'T ENOUGH and should be much MORE in the battle for the Black vote, including so many small Black independent community news outlets. In Operational Unity, those who DID get some media buys should speak up for those in the Black owned Digital/Social media business that have been IGNORED by these major campaigns in THEE MOST EXPENSIVE in campaign spending History!! The best way to judge HOW a candidate will spend dollars IF they win an election is HOW they spend the dollars while they are running. Black owned Digital/Social media outlets matter. Waiting on the next Black buy!!!
