A message to all members of Living In BlackThanks to so many of you for your generosity in putting together the humble donation of FM radio , Internet radio and IPTV broadcast station for a new university in Accra Ghana this fall. The pace of donations has been a bit slow and sometimes frustrating. Nonetheless, we WILL be putting this station in. It's too late to turn back now.We have just about 1 week exactly to come up with another 40% of the funding; this after 9 weeks of gathering funds. At this point it is really cutting it close. I have vowed that, if necessary, I will scavenge my own studio in order to get the project completed. This has just become so important to me. Some of you have just been so generous; today we received just 3 donations but they were for $300, $225 and $150. Thus, three individuals covered what we asked hundreds to do.Today I attended the Digital Video Expo and witnessed non-black companies rolling out systems for video production and broadcast that cost many, many times the amount that we have committed to completing this project. It was humbling, to say the least yet I couldn't but feel pride in that we are able to do so much with so little.One day Africans will be free to develop fully using the monies which already pass through our hands each year. When we reach that point we will look back to this day and remember how we did so much with so little when we realized that the stakes were so high. Those of us who will invest at this point of scant finances will probably be directing much greater resources at that future time.
